Not a bad freemium game, all things considered. Its a fun combination of Candy Crush-esque matching with a fantasy RPG element. Sometimes they offer you the option to watch an ad after you die so you can get a second shot, which is better than spending money on upgrades. It becomes nearly impossible to beat in later levels without buying power ups though; especially when the game makes a point to drain your health (yes, literally drain your health) between enemies to make it more likely for you to die. Would have given it 4 stars if it wasnt for that BS.

The game is fun until they suddenly ratchet up the difficulty to such insane levels you literally have no chance of progressing without paying real money. And once you do that, they know they have you, so they ratchet up the difficulty even more so that those upgrades you just bought dont even matter. Dont waste your time or money.

This is probably my longest lasting game on my phone, it doesnt get old, it is incredibly addicting and fun, and you dont have to pay anything.

If youve played candy crush, youve played this. Other than adding some surface level mechanics like armor and weapons (which you get at a set point and add very little customization) as well as a "fighting system", theres not much different. Itll hold your attention for a little bit, but after a while youll get bored, especially if you were expecting more than candy crush. But what can you really expect from a free game?

This is definitely the game I pull up most often. It’s repetitive but no more than any other match-three game, and the RPG element is cute. At first I thought the game drains your health between levels, much like other reviewers. But it doesn’t - it sort of replays the health loss you had throughout that level. So, for example, if you are fighting the 2nd foe with 343 health to start, and end with 299 health, you will see the health pop back up to 343 at the end of the fight, then quickly scale down to 299. It definitely gives the impression that your health is being drained, but it’s more a glitch than a nefarious scheme. Another reviewer mentioned replaying levels to earn money, and +1 to that. When I start to hit levels I can’t handle, I re-run the previous “land.” By the time I get back where I started, I’m generally good to go. But oy the ads. I would happily pay for a premium version of this game so I didn’t have to skip past an ad Every. Single. Fight. I don’t mind some ads - especially the watch-a-video-to-revive option. But there are three different kinds of ads in this game, and it feels like about half the time playing is spent clicking past them.

Ive had my iPad for years and have never gotten hooked to a game on iOS. A lot of times the gaming experience boils down to being bombarded with ads and constantly being asked to buy something in game with real money. This is the first game where I dont get that. Something about the gameplay and the art style just mesh.

The game has great graphics and a nice feel to it. But the gameplay is kind of sketchy. Critical hits dont really work (its random) which is annoying since theyre important, and between monsters it will drain your health for no reason at all (once it drained half my life after I beat a really easy monster). Some of the levels are too hard, so they definitely want you to pay to win, but it not really the kind of game youd want to spend much on.

This game is impossible after a certain point. Your instructions mention "critical" hits, but dont elaborate. It seems to do no extra damage whatsoever. Overall a pretty average game.

Since the update, the game lags and takes longer when first launching the app, before ads appear, on loading between menu pages, before a battle begins, and at random times during battles as well. Also large characters sometimes have part of their arm missing when playing on iPhone 5, such as the Second Cousin. This game is fun and creative but it really should have been premium. The grinding is no worse than any other match-3 game but, after stopping playing for a while and picking it up again, I found the amount of advertisements absolutely ridiculous.

Ever since the last update, the game force quits in between battles, after Ive spent coins and cant get them back, or whenever it feels like it quite frankly. This used to be my favorite pastime but now Im frustrated every five seconds when it moves extremely slow or just quits.

Cool game. But will probably not play it. To many Pop Ups.

I usually am not a fan of the "match three" style games, but this game is the exception. It has a very creative and unique art style that is very appealing, not only that but it is built on a very addicting gameplay style. Best yet is that it is free to play. I havent been able to put it down since I downloaded it

The level 50 cap make the last two worlds un enjoyable and ads wouldnt be a problem if they werent every round.

The game starts off great. Neat graphics, good sound, hilarious story, and tried-and-true gameplay. Eventually, though, the game becomes a drag, losing its charm. Why? The game doesnt really introduce new concepts very often, if at all. The gameplay stagnates, and theres little the player can do to rectify this. Still, its great fun while it lasts.

But you lose hp after every fight for some reason

I love this game! It just went by way too fast! :( there needs to be more levels. Please! The game though is a very good game. I love the concept of it. Definitely recommend it if you like puzzle games, but want one a little more exciting!

Crashes very frequently, often resulting in lost potions. Fun game with great art and music.

I tried to purchase stamps from the in-app store, and the stamps never showed up. All it did was charge my card three bucks.

Cool game, but after I watch a video it force closes... Every. Single. Time.
